A Journey for Grade 9
Organised by UBS in Partnership with Maths Centre Incorporating Sciences
The UBS Maps and Mirrors event took place on the 22nd June 2016 at UBS in Sandton, 45 Leaners, 4 teachers and 2 District officials attended the event. Schools attended: Alberton High School, Hoërskool Marais Viljoen and Oosrand Secondary School.
Speakers of the day – Career Session
CEO of the Maths Centre Sharanjeet Shan who conceptualised the advocacy campaign Maps and Mirrors. She encouraged learners to “Engage in a culture of learning and curiosity”.
Learners listening attentively to the speakers.
The day ended with learners attending breakaway sessions with professionals in the field of Human Resources (HR), Trade Support, Wealth Management, IT Department, and Finance Department.
