I would like to express my gratitude towards UBS and Maths Centre for providing us the opportunity to further our studies. Education has a way of moulding our lives. My learnership provides me with a unique academic challenge and also offers continuous personal growth while working towards building a brighter future for the children that I teach. I started with the ECD project in 2012, after completing the level 4 and teaching at a Daycare, I wanted to further my career and my salary.

I realised that I could achieve more and my efforts paid off. I am now the manager of Sandton Seedlings. My ECD level 5 studies assisted me in learning how to manage an ECD centre and the different administrative systems and ECD policies that need to be in place. I have learnt how to integrate active learning in a holistic learning environment. I am able to choose age appropriate activities and appropriate resources for my learners. I promise to work hard and in the future I hope to give back to those who are less fortunate in my community. I would like to open my own ECD centre that I will cater for the less fortunate and provide them with a high quality ECD learning programme.
