The Concept of the campaign:

Maths Centre in collaboration with the Northern Cape Department of Education, Eskom Expo and iThemba Labs conducted this campaign to support teachers in Natural Science. Some schools do not have Science laboratories and instruments to conduct experiments. All the workshops done were on Energy and Change, and Science Shows were done to show the learners the science around us.

A teacher workshop was also conducted to show the teachers how to use daily house hold substances in experiments. A total of eight primary schools in the project were invited and they could bring 40 of their top achievers in Mathematics and Natural Science from grade 6 and 7. Buses transported the learners to and from the venue. All the science shows and workshops were conducted by the professional personnel of the iThemba Labs.
