June 30th 2016 marked a proud day at Maths Centre as we celebrated the graduation of 20 Early Childhood Development Practitioners, which received their ECD level 5 accredited Diploma. The ECD project was funded by UBS and Worley Parsons. The graduates are from Soweto, Alexandra, Newlands and Newclare. Some of the practitioners were Grade R teachers at schools and Grade 0-00 at Crèche’s.

- Ms Sharanjeet Shan, Chief Executive Director of the Maths Centre Incorporating Sciences gave a presentation on “Children as partners in our teaching Journey – Shaping our Life while shaping theirs.

- Sibongile Mafola, UBS representative, encouraged and praised the graduates on their hard work and dedication to the profession and the important role they play in a child’s life. She was indeed very inspirational.

from Sharanjeet Shan.
