Before you judge, did you ask?

Being a teacher has taught me to judge less and love more. I encountered a lot of kids who needed love more than judgement.  I had kids who never paid attention in class and because I never took my time to find out what caused such behaviour I ignored them. One day I decided to talk to one who would sleep during my lesson and I discovered that she sleep very late trying to do some housekeeping and wakes up very early to prepare her 4 siblings for school. She was the eldest of the 5 kids, at age 16 she was already a parent because the parents are working in a different province and comes home at the end of the month.

Sometimes in life we tend to judge each other based on our expectations and past experiences. One man once said if you have not walked in mile in my shoe you will never understand where I come from and where I am going.

Let’s not assume……………let’s ask

Just be kind enough to be compassionate to one another. Before you can pass a judgement ask and show some love.
