Busi Mashabane; DD Mabuza Comprehensive High School; Grade 12 2016

School: DD Mabuza

Grade: 12

Year: 2016

Being a participant of the CBE project made me more committed to my studies and has increased the effort I invest in my studies. Knowing the kind of competition I am in, I am obliged to pull up my sleeves and already I am reaping the fruits of my hard working. All thanks to the opportunity and challenges CBE has exposed me to. Now that I am in the middle of my Trial exams, I can say I have not yet encountered any difficulties. I used the Maths study guide which was given to me by CBE to prepare for my exams. I also had a chance to go through 2016 trial papers from other provinces as these were emailed to me by the Maths Centre tutor. Worksheets on different topics which I received from the tutor also played a pivotal role in my preparations.

I know that an opportunity of being chosen to be one of many participants comes only once in a lifetime. To be chosen by such a delicate project like CBE cost an arm and a leg that is why I ended up dancing to the tune of the CBE project and now I am flowing along and I feel like the captain of the ship.

I do not regret ever participating or putting my effort in this project. I strongly recommend this project to my siblings. If it happens that I get another opportunity like this at any level, I will grab it with both hands and make sure that I do extra-ordinary well. Being part of the CBE project is a privilege and my dreams will be a reality. Now I am confident that I will do well come the final exams. I am expecting to pocket at least four level 7 including in maths and science.
