The CBE Maths and Science support programme aims to enable learners from disadvantaged communities to obtain better grades in these subjects in order to attract them into Built Environment professions and other science technology. However, this project has helped me a lot since l came to realise the importance of mathematics in everyday life and to so many subject areas such as Physical Sciences. I have also realised how the things I have learnt from CBE project may be adopted and used in a practical situation.

Also the project has made Physical Sciences and Mathematics to be my main academic interest. The interest was intrigued by the exposure I was given to previous exam question papers, experimental work we do during weekend classes, mixing with other learners from other schools and the link with the real world.

As for Physical Sciences it is indeed a subject like no other subject. Its complexity makes it a challenging and often frustrating area of studying. However the logic behind every problem leaves a feeling of uncertainty about the subject. But CBE has made it easier for me and my level has improved since then. My devotion to the subject has grown exponentially.

Throughout this academic year I have benefited a lot from CBE and there will be a great change in my levels not only in maths and science but in all subjects. Thanks to CBE which opened my academic eyes.
